High-Performance Superplasticizer Concrete Additive

Standard

Ministry of Public Works Poz No: 04.613/1-A3
TS EN 934-2 Table 3.1 and 3.2: High water-reducing / superplasticizer concrete additive

Description

Aydosnew® Flow F 60 is a next-generation, polycarboxylate-based, high-performance superplasticizer concrete additive that significantly reduces mix water, provides high early and final strength, enhances workability, and retains the consistency of the concrete.

Applications

  • Used in ready-mix concrete production.

  • Used in precast and prefabricated concrete production.

  • Concrete requiring excellent workability and consistency retention.

  • Concrete requiring dense and smooth surfaces.

  • Reinforced concrete with placement difficulties due to dense or fine reinforcement.

  • Concrete requiring high early and final strength.

  • Used in high-quality and high-strength concrete production.

  • Used in injection and ground applications.

  • Concrete requiring impermeability.

  • Architectural concrete, engineering, and artistic constructions.

  • Concrete elements requiring complex and detailed molds with varied geometries.

  • Used in self-compacting concrete (SCC) production.

Properties / Advantages

  • Increases abrasion resistance by reducing segregation and bleeding.

  • Significantly reduces concrete mix water.

  • Provides excellent self-compacting properties to the concrete.

  • Provides significant increases in both early and final strength.

  • Reduces the carbonation rate, improving mechanical properties such as shrinkage and creep.

  • Enables the pumping of concrete over long distances.

  • Allows for a dense and smooth surface finish.

  • Ensures concrete sets within normal time without delay.

  • Reduces curing time and temperature in precast element production, providing energy savings.

  • Provides high unit weight and strength potential.

  • Prevents rapid loss of consistency in concrete.

Dosage

For flowing and self-compacting concretes: It is recommended to use between 0.5 – 1.9 kg per 100 kg of binder (cement-microsilica-fly ash).
The dosage of the additive may vary depending on aggregate properties, concrete grade, water/cement ratio, water quality, and ambient temperature. Therefore, it is recommended to perform preliminary trial mixes in the laboratory.
During consistency adjustment, the high water-reduction capacity of the additive must be taken into account, and excessive water should be avoided in the mixture.
