Description

Aydosper® BetTer is a superplasticizer concrete additive based on naphthalene sulfonate, which significantly reduces the water content in the concrete mix to increase early and final strength or imparts high workability to the concrete with the same mix water.

Applications

  • Concrete requiring high final strength.

  • Concrete requiring dense and smooth surfaces.

  • Concrete with placement difficulties, such as thin, densely reinforced concrete elements.

  • Concrete where a high degree of water reduction and long workability is required.

  • Concrete that requires early form removal or rapid loading.

  • Ready-mix concrete production, both pumped and non-pumped.

Properties / Advantages

  • Increases both early and final strength of the concrete.

  • Allows for the production of a smooth, void-free surface.

  • Improves impermeability of the concrete due to a low water/cement ratio.

  • Facilitates easy placement and faster strength gain, saving labor, and enabling earlier form removal/turnover.

  • Enables the pumping of concrete over long distances.

  • Reduces the rate of carbonation, and improves mechanical properties such as shrinkage and creep.

Dosage

  • It is recommended to use 0.7 – 1.8 kg per 100 kg of binder (cement-microsilica-fly ash).
  • The dosage may vary depending on the properties of the aggregates, concrete grade, water/cement ratio, water quality, and ambient temperature. Therefore, it is advisable to conduct preliminary trial mixes in the laboratory to determine the appropriate dosage.
