Description
Polydos® SNY 580 is a new-generation hyperplasticizer set retarding concrete admixture, based on polycarboxylate, developed to provide the necessary workability time in the ready-mix concrete industry. It significantly reduces water content, enabling the production of high early strength, impermeable, and excellently surfaced self-compacting concrete with a low water/cement ratio, while maintaining consistency.

• In concrete requiring long workability and consistency in hot climate conditions

• In the production of very high-performance concrete

• In concrete requiring plastic consistency and flowability

• In concrete subjected to mass pouring

• In injection and ground applications

• In the production of impermeable concrete

• In architectural concrete, engineering, and artistic structures

• In floor and field concrete

• In foundation, slab, beam, column, and wall concrete

• In the production of all types of concrete with placement challenges, including fine, heavily reinforced, or non-reinforced lightweight or normal-weight concrete

• In the production of self-compacting concrete (SCC)

Dosage
For flowable and self-compacting concretes, it is recommended to use between 0.6 – 2.0 kg per 100 kg of binder (cement – microsilica – fly ash).
The admixture dosage may vary depending on aggregate properties, concrete class, water/cement ratio, water quality, and ambient temperature. Therefore, trial mixes in the laboratory are strongly recommended.
During consistency adjustments, the admixture’s high water-reducing effect must be considered, and excess water should not be added to the mix.
