Description
Polydos® SNY 585 is a new-generation hyperplasticizer set-retarding concrete admixture based on polycarboxylate, developed to provide the necessary workability time in the ready-mix concrete industry. It significantly reduces water content, enabling the production of self-compacting concrete with high early strength, impermeable, and excellent surface appearance, with a low water/cement ratio, while maintaining consistency.

Properties / Advantages
Provides significant increase in early and final strength of the concrete
Maintains the consistency of concrete for a long time, especially in summer, without requiring re-adjustment
Reduces the amount of water in concrete mixtures by 25-35%, significantly lowering water content
Prevents shrinkage cracking due to high hydration heat
Reduces carbonation speed of concrete
Provides self-compaction properties to the concrete
Allows high unit weight and strength
Eliminates the risk of segregation
Improves the impermeability of concrete due to the low water/cement ratio
Increases pumpability
Provides a dense and smooth surface finish
Eliminates noise pollution by eliminating the need for vibration
Dosage
For flowable and self-compacting concretes, it is recommended to use between 0.5 – 2.0 kg per 100 kg of binder (cement – microsilica – fly ash).
The admixture dosage may vary depending on aggregate properties, concrete class, water/cement ratio, water quality, and ambient temperature. Therefore, trial mixes in the laboratory are strongly recommended.
During consistency adjustments, the admixture’s high water-reducing effect must be considered, and excess water should not be added to the mix.
