Description
Polydos® SR 707 is a new-generation, polycarboxylate-based high-performance superplasticizer admixture used in concrete production. It is designed for concrete that can easily flow into densely reinforced, narrow and deep sections, can self-compact without the need for internal or external vibration, and maintains cohesion without causing issues like segregation or bleeding, while offering excellent flowability and passing ability.
Areas of Use
- In ready-mixed concrete production that needs to be transported over long distances in hot climates
- In concrete requiring high water reduction and extended workability
- In reinforced concrete applications with dense and narrow reinforcement where placement is difficult
- In high-strength and high-quality concrete
- In concrete requiring smooth and dense surface finishes
- In foundations, slabs, beams, columns, and wall concretes
- In bridge, viaduct, tunnel, airport, and dam concretes
- In concrete where impermeability is required
- To compensate for workability loss caused by hot, windy, or humid weather conditions
- In the production of self-compacting concrete (SCC)
Features / Advantages
- Provides long-term slump retention
- Significantly enhances early and final strength development
- Greatly reduces the mixing water in concrete
- Imparts self-compacting properties to concrete
- Allows for higher unit weight and strength
- Results in low-void, good surface finish, and less permeable concrete
- Extends setting times in a controlled manner
- Enables pumping of concrete over long distances
- Ensures void-free and smooth surfaces
- Eliminates the need for vibration, preventing noise pollution
- Reduces the rate of carbonation and improves mechanical properties such as shrinkage and creep
- Improves impermeability thanks to the low water/cement ratio
- Maintains slump in summer conditions without the need for re-tempering
Dosage
- For flowable and self-compacting concretes, it is recommended to use between 0.4 – 2.0 kg per 100 kg of binder (cement – microsilica – fly ash).
- The dosage may vary depending on aggregate properties, concrete class, water/cement ratio, water quality, and ambient temperature. Therefore, it is recommended to determine the ideal dosage through preliminary laboratory trials.
- When adjusting consistency, the admixture’s strong water-reducing effect should be taken into account, and adding excess water should be avoided.
