Description
Polydos® SR 820 is a new-generation, polycarboxylate-based superplasticizer admixture designed for high-performance concrete production. It is especially suitable for concrete mixes requiring very high early strength development, high water reduction, and excellent flowability.

To counteract consistency loss in hot, windy, and humid weather conditions

Features / Advantages
Maintains slump consistency for a long time in hot weather without the need for re-tempering
Prevents rapid slump loss and provides long-term workability depending on cement type
Enables high unit weight and strength
Produces low-void, visually smooth, and less permeable concrete
Facilitates easier placement and faster strength gain, saving labor and allowing earlier formwork removal or cycling
Reduces carbonation rate and improves mechanical properties such as shrinkage and creep
Ensures pumpability over long distances

Grants the concrete excellent self-compacting capability
Dosage
For fluid and self-compacting concretes, it is recommended to use 0.4 – 2.0 kg per 100 kg of binder (cement – microsilica – fly ash).
The admixture dosage may vary depending on aggregate properties, concrete grade, water/cement ratio, water quality, and ambient temperature. Therefore, it is recommended to determine the exact dosage by conducting preliminary trial mixes in a laboratory setting.
During consistency adjustments, the high water-reducing effect of the admixture should be considered and the addition of excess water should be avoided.
