High-Performance Hyperplasticizer Concrete Admixture

Standard

Ministry of Public Works Specification No: 04.613/1-A3
TS EN 934-2 Tables 3.1 and 3.2: High-Range Water Reducing / Superplasticizer Concrete Admixture

Description

Polydos® TN 346 is a new generation hyperplasticizer concrete admixture based on polycarboxylate, designed for the production of high-performance concrete with both early and final high strength.

Developed for the ready-mix concrete industry, it provides very high water reduction depending on the dosage, with extended workability time. It enables the production of self-compacting and self-consolidating concrete without causing segregation or bleeding.

Areas of Use

  • In higher quality and high-strength concrete

  • In concretes where excellent flowability and slump retention are required

  • In reinforced concrete applications with dense and intricate rebar placement

  • In concretes requiring high water reduction and extended workability

  • In areas where early formwork removal or fast loading is necessary

  • In the production of precast and prefabricated concrete

  • In prestressed concrete manufacturing

  • In architectural, engineering, and artistic concrete applications

  • In the production of Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC)

Features / Advantages

  • Provides durable, high-quality concrete production

  • Offers high early strength gain, especially in cold weather

  • Increases concrete resistance and durability against freeze-thaw cycles

  • Improves impermeability thanks to a low water/cement ratio

  • Imparts self-compacting properties to concrete

  • Enables higher unit weight and strength

  • Facilitates long-distance concrete pumping

  • Reduces curing time and temperature in precast production, providing energy savings

  • Allows normal setting without retardation

  • Reduces carbonation rate and improves mechanical properties such as shrinkage and creep

  • Produces smoother and more aesthetically appealing concrete surfaces

  • Eliminates the risk of segregation

  • Ensures easier placement, faster strength development, labor savings, and earlier formwork removal or rotation

Dosage

For flowable and self-compacting concretes:
It is recommended to use 0.4 – 2.0 kg per 100 kg of binder (cement – microsilica – fly ash).

The admixture dosage may vary depending on the properties of aggregates, concrete class, water/cement ratio, water quality, and ambient temperature.
Therefore, it is recommended to determine the appropriate dosage through laboratory trial mixes.
When adjusting the consistency, the high water-reducing effect of the admixture should be considered, and excessive water should not be added to the mix.
